Join Helena Young Professionals (HYP) Sunday, March 7th, 2021 starting at 12 pm for a snowshoe outing to Stemple Pass. Don't own snowshoes? That's fine! The first 10 HYP members to RSVP will receive a FREE snowshoe rental from The Base Camp in Downtown Helena. We will pick up the shoes and bring them to the trailhead for you. If you need shoes, please RSVP by Thursday, March 4th at the latest.

It takes approximately 1 hour to get from Helena to Stemple Pass. To get to the trail, drive west on Lincoln road/hwy 279 until you get to Stemple road at Wilborn. Continue on Stemple road until you reach the top of the pass where there is parking and a cross-country ski area. If you would like to caravan with us, we will meet at the Spring Meadow State Park parking lot and head out promptly at 11:00 am. The trail we will be taking is actually a closed forest service road that has a gradual, easy grade and nice views. We will shoe until we reach a point we can't pass the drifts, or otherwise tucker out.
