Join HYP for a hike into the Gates of the Mountains on the Missouri River Canyon Trail #257. This trail is about a 10-11-mile out-and-back hike that starts in Nelson and ends at Coulter Campground. Generally considered a moderate/difficult route, it will take us about 5-6 hours to hike. We will stop to have an hour lunch at the campground while we admire the view, so BYO lunch! Plan to leave the Costco parking lot by 9 AM and arrive back in Helena around 6-6:30 PM.

We will meet at the NE corner of the Costco parking lot, near the tire center, before 9 AM, and carpool from there to Nelson. This will be about a 50-minute drive, and vehicles will need to have high clearance and four-wheel drive.
