HYP is hiring!

Calling all motivated young professionals!

HYP is looking for new additions to the Executive Board. Do you want to apply your skills, develop valuable leadership experience, organize engaging events, or facilitate relationships with local organizations? Here is your chance to help guide the vision for a growing nonprofit and to get involved in the Helena community.

We are currently recruiting for Treasurer, Public Relations Chair, Recreation Chair, and Public Service Chair Positions. All board officers are responsible for attending a monthly board meeting, attending the annual retreat, coordinating one networking lunch per year, and completing position-specific duties described below. Please see our bylaws or email us at helenayoungprofessionals@gmail.com for additional information.

Apply here by Saturday, October 8th for priority consideration!

Treasurer

Do you have a knack for numbers and managing money? The Treasurer position may be right for you! The Treasurer’s duties include overseeing the financial assets of HYP, ensuring income and assets are protected and adequately accounted for, that the corporation’s financial obligations are paid in a timely fashion, reporting to the executive board about the financial health of HYP, and ensuring necessary filings are made on time to preserve HYP’s non-profit and tax-exempt statuses.

Experience or education in nonprofit accounting is not required, but highly preferable!

Public Relations Chair

Are you a good writer who enjoys developing communication materials? Consider becoming HYP’s Public Relations Chair! This officer manages strategic communications between the executive board, HYP members, and the public. Responsibilities include developing HYP's monthly newsletter, maintaining the website, and sending out reminder emails for HYP events.  The Public Relations Chair works closely with the Marketing Chair and Social Media Chair as part of the Communications Team.

Recreation Chair

Do you enjoy leading others on outdoor adventures and exploring new places? This is the position for you! The Recreation Chair plans primarily outdoor events for our membership and prospective members. Past events have included activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, bonfires, and paddling.

Public Service Chair

Do you love giving back to the community and encouraging others to do so as well? Then this may be a wonderful opportunity for you! The Public Service Chair coordinates with local organizations to plan service (volunteer) events for our membership and prospective members. Some examples of events include beach cleanup, trail work, and Habitat for Humanity builds.
